FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Short answers about the product, dossiers, Genius, permissions, audit, integrations and GDPR.
What is DOK Genius?
A platform for document governance, operational compliance and artificial intelligence — managing documents, dossiers, approvals, audit and intelligent search.
What is a dossier?
A unit of work that brings together a process, documents, state, owners, approvals and operational history.
Can I configure different document processes?
Yes. The platform supports distinct processes and flows, with configurable fields, checklists and approvals.
Can Genius search documents?
Yes. It searches the documents you are allowed to see and answers with context, sources and traceability.
Does the AI respect permissions?
Yes. Permissions, confidentiality and tenant scope are applied on the server, including on the answers the AI gives.
Can I have multiple departments or companies?
Yes. The multi-tenant model and permissions let you separate organizations, departments or units as configured.
Is there an audit trail of actions?
Yes. Actions on dossiers and documents are recorded with author, date and context, and your organization can consult that history and search it.
Can I integrate with other systems?
Yes, and in both directions: a versioned REST API and webhooks to read out of DOK Genius, and autonomous operations for it to call your system when a process concludes.
Can I start for free?
Yes. You can submit a free signup with no credit card.
Is the platform GDPR-ready?
The structure is oriented toward data protection, purpose, permissions and audit, but each release should be reviewed legally.
Can DOK Genius carry out an operation in my own system?
Yes. At the conclusion of a process it can call the API of the system that owns the operation — issue the policy, open the claim, register the order — and wait for the answer before closing the case, keeping the reference that system returns. Each execution carries an idempotency key, so a retry never produces a second operation.
Do I have to create the case before filing the document?
No. A document that arrives by e-mail, is sent to the intake API or is captured by a scanner is recognised and opens the right dossier on its own. When nothing matches, it waits for a person instead of guessing.
